  • Prefer a Strict 9 to 5. You will be paid for every second you work but if you are looking for a cubical to clock into, then this is not for you.

  • Lack Passion: We're dedicated to our craft, our clients, and our company. Apathy has no place here; you have to care to work here.

  • Struggle with People. We work with people 100% of the time. Whether it is clients, contractors, or staff, we are having to deal with people and if the concept of doing people-focused work makes you sick, please don’t apply.

  • Can’t Meet Deadlines. NN is a startup and everyone is dependent on the work others do, so if you are unable to or uninterested in managing your time to meet the necessary deadlines this will not be a good fit.

  • Communicate Poorly. Communication is the backbone of everything we do at NN. If you aren’t able to ask for help, communicate project statuses, or respond to messages then you will not be a fit at NN


Description and Scope

01 - SCHEDULE

Part-time (≈ 20 hrs/week) hybrid: ≥ 50 % of hours onsite in our Lancaster City office

02 - COMPENSATION

Starting at $13/hr for extent of probationary period, with rapid review cycles and a clear path to higher pay and a long-term, expanded role as performance and business needs grow.

Narrative Now is a mission-driven storytelling and social-enterprise studio with several brands under one umbrella. Our CEO steers multiple creative, impact-oriented ventures at once; your work will be as a generalist—equal parts fixer, translator, organizer, researcher, and communicator—who can drop into almost any task, learn at lightspeed, and make order from chaos. If you thrive on variety and love turning “I’ve never done that before” into “Done—what’s next?” you’ll fit right in.

04 - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communication Management: Triage and draft emails, ClickUp messages, calls, and DMs across all Narrative Now brands, ensuring every stakeholder receives clear, timely, and professional responses.

  • Project Coordination: Track tasks for campaigns, shoots, podcast drops, and cross-brand initiatives—organizing agendas, capturing action items, and following up so deadlines are always met.

  • Research & Reporting: Rapidly gather data on industry trends, prospective partners, vendors, and tools; distill findings into bite-sized briefs, slide decks, or one-pagers to inform strategic decisions.

  • Client & Vendor Interaction: Act as a friendly point of contact for LM’s clients and contractors—fielding inquiries, scheduling sessions, and relaying critical information to keep relationships thriving.

  • Office & Event Logistics: Arrange travel, on-site shoots, team off-sites, and client visits; manage Lancaster office supplies and tech needs during in-office days so the workspace stays collaboration-ready.

  • Organization & Knowledge Management: Maintain impeccably organized digital filing systems (contracts, brand assets, KPIs) and keep project files easy to locate, boosting team productivity.

  • Culture Champion & Confidentiality: Embody LM and Narrative Now values—people-first, lifestyle-focused, excellence-driven—while safeguarding sensitive information with absolute discretion.

05 - Must-Have QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Quick-study, versatile, and a fast learner.

  2. Fierce attention to detail, time-management, and follow-through

  3. Strong written, verbal communication, and active listening.

  4. Comfort juggling many moving pieces and adapting priorities daily

  5. Comfort in Google Workspace or other comparable platform(s)

  6. Ability to work in Lancaster office 10+ hours a week.

05 - Nice-to-Have QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience with design and photo editing in programs like Adobe.

  2. Experience in media, agency, or startup setting.

  3. Experience with project-management tools (Asana, Monday, ClickUp)

  4. Experience with analytics or data-analysis.

  5. Experience with Squarespace or similar program.

  6. Knowledge of the basics of media production, filmmaking, and photography.

  7. Degree in business, marketing, or related field

GROWTH ROADMAP

  1. First 90 days: Learn fast, prove reliability, earn trust.

  2. Quarterly reviews: Performance on accuracy, flexibility, and communication → pay bumps & broader scope.

  3. Long Term: Path to full-time EA, Operations Coordinator, or even Chief of Staff.
